Our Latest Epicurean Expedition

Update: South Beach offers a little extra pampering for lucky travelers as the Miami Spa Month and Miami Spice Month discount promotions make it possible to enjoy luxurious meals and therapeutic massages for less money. What better way to enjoy a holiday than sampling gourmet cuisine or having restorative treatments between trips to the beach and dancing the night away under the stars!

Our newest Epicurean Expedition includes a few tips for our favorite restaurants offering generous menus at reasonable prices via the ilovemiamispice.com website, and a new nightlife stop. Louis Bar-Lounge at The Perry South Beach hotel on Collins Avenue lites up the South Beach sky with a closing party for Louis which will be renovating.

For entertainment the city welcomes some extraordinary musical talents including DJ Kid Capri, DJ Saeed Younan, Toronto's AutoErotique, and Walllpaper plus a fun night of FREE retro light shows at the Miami Planetarium. The Marlins meet the Phillies, the Homestead Speedway lets you race on the track and the Summer of Love dance party "Été d'Amour" kicks off at Grand Central.

Taste Bakery Cafe, 1683 Jefferson Avenue. Escape the mall regular haunts for this tasty getaway where a breakfast burrito satisfies your cravings for spicy, salty, creamy and crispy all at once. Truly one of the best bites on the Beach and rarely too crowded to nip in and out in a flash!

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink, 130 NE 40 Street. Tough to score a dinner reservation but equally tasty at lunch, MGFD offers many of the same menu options earlier in the day when Design District regulars linger at the bar and the scene is no less sceney. Save room for Hedy Goldsmith's popcorn flavored ice cream. Divine!

Mansion, 1235 Washington Avenue. Dance, drink and remember to tip your servers as "In the Studio with the 400" presents Kid Capri spinning alongside DJ Konflikt for one night only.

660 at the Anglers, 660 Washington Avenue. A boutique property in the heart of club land seems a tough proposition but Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli makes quick work of tender pastas & risottos, sweet tuna tiradito, and some pretty addictive Peking style duck wings that will make you forget about those utterly pedestrian Buffalo chicken wings forever.
